It was incredibly fun—your energy was infectious! (And wow, thank you *so* much for reading. Sunday’s post actually includes a hat-tip to you…and your love of pain perdu in pastry form! ☺️)
What a treat to hear from 2 well respected experts in the field of cooking and baking! THe presentation inspires me to keep developing and fine tuning recipes and instincts on how to best elevate the ingredients to compliment the savory or sweet creations to bake and cook for family and friends! Thank you...
How lovely, Mary Jane - thank you and keep fine tuning. That recipes can always be played with and often improved, is one of the things that makes working in the kitchen so satisfying - xoD
LOVE this!! Oh my gosh. I am laughing and shaking my head in agreement. Dinner, once I am in the kitchen and behind the counter, my culinary creativity constantly evolves. My cravings, my mood, my level of energy, my "excitement" or lack thereof, guide me. My husband is extremely patient, and he says "Thank you for a lovely meal" EVERY single time we sit at the table together. Sometimes the kitchen has exploded, and sometimes it's as neat as a pin. Hahahaha - love to you, Dorie! I so appreciate your transparency and "real" life, boots on the ground stories, recipes, notes, and playing around.
Rene, thank you, thank you, thank you! And gee I love your husband. Michael is easy - another reason to love him. In fact, soon after we got married, my mother said to me, "You're lucky to have married a man who considers salad a meal." - xoD
What a treat to be a fly on the wall for this lovely conversation! Thanks for having us, Dorie and Clare 🤗
Maddie, I'm so glad you watched. I'm loving reading your adventures in cooking school in Paris - xoD
