Hi Dorie, So glad you recovered! I've had vertigo and there is no way I could get on a plane, let alone get to the airport. I would love to go to the Salon d'Agriculture someday. I read in the paper today that they stopped letting people in two hours early because of the crowds last night. Thanks for the restaurant tips. The parsnip soup at Semilla sounds lovely and the Saint-Jacques rôties, endives caramélisées listed on Juveniles' website sounds wonderful as well. I'm adding them both to my wish list.
I have pulled Around my French Table from the bookshelf and placed it on my nightstand and I will enjoy getting reacquainted with it. Glad to hear you are feeling better!
Glad you are feeling better! I am adding this to our list! Going to call for a reservation. Hope to run into you at your office soon, late next week! We will be in Paris visiting from Germany! <3
Keep "Meclizine" on hand at all times for the vertigo. It's over-the-counter (and on Amazon) sold as generic meclizine or under the brand name of "Bonine." Notice what triggers it--it's usually due to looking up while twisting your head/neck.
So sorry you weren’t well and missed your trip. I hope you are tip top now. The cookbook rundown is great! Thank you. (And I love seeing Gemma. Where’s VV?)❤️
I have a friend who suffers from vertigo so I'm glad that your episode didn't last too long although it did mess up your plans. I recently purchased Small Batch Bakes since I live alone and thought it just made sense. I glad that I made a good choice. I also watched Three Pines on Amazon and loved it. I wrote the books and Louise Penny down on my list of books to read. I'm retired now so I finally have time to read, bake and drink tea.
Dear Dorie, so sorry to hear about your Vertigo. I had an incident last August and have been suffering from dizziness ever since. Doing physical therapy for it and slowly getting better. Hope you don’t have any more problems…
Love your newsletters and your recipes! Best wishes!
Dorie - Vertigo is terrible! Glad you’re feeling better. A question about the yummy-sounding lamb tagine. Is there an alternative to tomatoes (for those poor souls - like me - who can’t do tomatoes)?
Happy you are feeling better. Thank you for sharing your interesting and colorful adventures. You are a wonderful and inspirational storyteller . And how wonderful to get new cookbook recommendations! I always seem to find room for one more…or two or three!
I’m glad you’ve recovered, and I hope someday soon you can describe the sights, smells and tastes of Morocco as beautifully as you do of Paris.

Yes, do. If it wears off, take another. I've heard a doctor say--take as needed--you can't take too much. Hope it works this time!
So happy you’re feeling better Dorie. Sending lots of love.
Thanks so much for the mention Dorie, glad you're feeling better xx
No worries. I enjoy seeing the girls! Have a great weekend.🤗

Sorry for your canceled plans. Can you reschedule?
Woks of Life is fantastic. Don't have the book, but I'm a big fan of the blog and the Leung family recipes.

So....were they sweet potatoes or yams?
