Hi Dorie, when I saw the lemon tartlet from Paris I thought I would let you know I made your lemon tart from Baking with Dorie as tartlets. Delicious - served with whipped cream. Your crust is so easy and tasty.
My brother gave me that book so we bake together from it when I go north to his place but the tarts I made at home for friends.
I think our favorite bake so far is the Mokonuts' Rye-Cranberry Chocolate Chunk Cookies.
My favourite strawberry / sumac pairing is a pavlova with sumac in the meringue. Really brings citrus notes and needs creme fraiche folded into the cream to not be too much. Fresh mint to finish, and a drizzle of pomegranate molasses to marry everything together.
I don’t know which is more delicious: the images of the exquisite patisserie or the photos of your equally exquisite granddaughters! Lucky you to have both to enjoy.
Love these gorgeous pastries! I would go to Paris just to eat, lol. Your granddaughters are so sweet and cute, but you know that. You and they are so lucky to have each other.
It sounds like we’ll be following in your footsteps next week (Greece, Rome, then Paris), heading on a three-generations armed with your recommended patisseries list! I’m wonder if you have any recommendations for a good baking class in Paris, my three sons are in their late teens and excellent home bakers (and treat eaters) and I’d love to have that type of experience with them. I’d appreciate any tips you might share. Thank you for all the delicious inspiration you bring to the world!
Thank you for this slice of Paris delight Dorie! Loved reading and dreaming about all of the sweets in Paris, particularly the one shop that recently opened out of the owner's dream. Seeing these photos just puts a smile on my face (as does the photo and comment about Gemma twirling!). I'm hoping to make it to the city this summer, and will definitely be putting these on my list!
What a treat to see all these treats! I’m going to give it a go making the pistachio frangipane--seems do-able! And my heart bursts seeing Gemma and VV! Have a wonderful time traveling! ❤️
It’s so hard to find a crunchy palmier! After 6 years living in the 16th I’m staying at a temporary apartment in the 15th next month. Right near Laurent Duchêne. Thank you for putting it on my radar!
I love, love, love the personal notes you include and the sweet pictures. Thank you for opening your life and professional outlook.

Love every last bit of this! Can't wait for notes from the road!
ahh beautiful deliciousness
Warm and wonderful presence -- thank you.
Great minds and all that...made Ĵim Beard's Banana loaf w.pecans for the wife of a good friend. She's in a home with Alzheimer. How sad is that.
Dorie- the inspiration for the miso white chocolate cookie is clearly the Umami Cookie from Seven Grams Caffe in NYC, a truly fabulous cookie that I think you will love. . . https://sevengramscaffe.com/collections/famous-cookies/products/limited-edition-the-umami-cookie
