Dorie, thanks for your last post of 2024 and all the information and links that you shared. I'm sure your granddaughters loved The Nutcracker. I so enjoyed viewing Celine Dion at the Paris Olympics which I had missed (via your link). She did an amazing job, so proud as a fellow Canadian. It's great to get French hosting ideas that you shared -- all doable, look delicious and allow the host(s) to enjoy themselves too. Loved reading once again Sophie Guiton's Olympics themed party from the summer. You asked this question in the August post, so if I was an invitee, I would bring cabbage rolls. I recently started making them with sour cabbage and did so for Christmas dinner this year. They turned out great, so this is what I would bring. Wishing you and your family a Happy New Year in Paris 🥂🎉. Enjoy and look forward to your 2025 posts.
I bought We Solve Murders, but haven't begun it yet and yes, I bet it's the start of a new series. Must say that I miss the Thursday foursome. Happy new year - xoD
Thanks for sharing your stories and your recipes with us! I really like the French idea of everyone snacking on delicious food at their own pace. Personally, I’m looking forward to being in my newly renovated home (including a new kitchen) in a few weeks. Happy New Year to you and your family, Dorie! May you have a great year ahead.
Love what your mother wished for you. Going to steal.
I bequeath it to you with joy - xoD

New Years in Paris..how perfect. Wishing you the best, safest, yummiest time ever. I had been
meaning to make those honey mustard salmon rillettes; seeing you write about them was the
push I needed. Love your mother's wish..I may adopt it..Sending you all the best! Kate in Boca-adjacent.
I think you'll like the rillettes. They're delicious and very adaptable. As for my mother's wish - it's yours. Use it often. Happy New Year - xoD
