You’re so generous with thanking others, that I’m writing to thank YOU for your kind and sensitive opening words. Yes--the world is a mess and experiencing horrors not seen since WWII. Yet, somehow we must go on. I will cook and bake and host 12 for Thanksgiving. And continue to pray for peace. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. ❤️
I have a question regarding the flour: I will be moving to France in a couple of years. Will I be able to bake with French flour your recipes? I will be so sad if I have to let go of your books : (
So much fun reading your posts from Paris. Just had lunch at Mokonuts this past week, wow, delicious! Do you happen to have a miso cookie recipe? Thank you!
I’m a Scorpio! Loved your newsletter, as always. I celebrated my birthday on November 7 by flying from Boston to Auckland, New Zealand! What a beautiful country!
What a great pleasure to read you today. Thank you for the balm and inspiration. Yes of course I made a batch of World Peace Cookies today. And I felt better!
Thank you, Dorie. Very beautifully said. I am making the World Peace Cookies as I write this. I have your book and make these often, but these times are truly a mess. Eating these cookies makes me think of peace. My best wishes to you and Michael.
What a perfect way to end a Saturday evening reading your lovely heartfelt words. No October birthdays but lots of conversation regarding ss and Medicare (seriously I feel 30 in my head but not so much in my body especially when I knead dough my shoulder is not happy). Baking makes me happy brings me peace. Thank you Dorie for sharing your wonderful adventures.
Dorrie- I loved reading this. Happy birthday to Michael - 80 never looked so good! Those croissants look incredible. The shape is brilliant. I'm tempted to try my hand...if I can remember how to make puff pastry.
I love this so much. I’ve been to Paris so many times and lived there when I was younger for a short while. Your descriptions of places and food is wonderful. I feel like I’m there for a minute. This post is so chock full of wonderful stories, places, and food. I’m also a Scorpio so there’s that too. XO ALSO, thanks for making this free, it is such a relief to enjoy it.

Love to read about the delicious pastries.

Joyeux Anniversaires to you and Michael!
I love hearing that you have kitchen gremlins. I'm sure I have one as well.

Happy birthday to Michael!
Great, thank you, I’ll look the rye-cranberry recipe up.
❤️ you Dorie! I sure wish your newsletter had
Taste-O- Vision. Such visions of delight fill my
mind! Merci. MarySue
It's a relief to know that baking gremlins can even get to you!
I feel so much better about my failures.
And my family also is chock full of October birthdays: me, my mother, my cousin, my cousin's daughter, and her daughter-in-law. It's a popular month!
Thank you for sharing all of the wonderful things happening in your life. It's always a joy to read your newsletter.
