I love poke but one of the reasons I don't eat it much is that at restaurants or quick serve establishments I can never be sure how long it has been sitting around. It never occurred to me to just make it myself! Next time I am across town I'll pick up some quality ahi and give it a go.
I have had poke in Hawaii several times as well as making it here. I can throw away the other recipes as this is the best tasting! The next time, tho, I will add lime juice to help ‘cook’ the fish and give it a bit more zing. It was delicious!
This is exactly what I needed right now!
Definitely going to try this with tofu. Appreciate the January salad inspiration!
Perfect counter to the dreary weather!
YUM - we LOVE poke - and just got back from Hawaii, too!!
PS - I always put diced cucumber and jicama in our poke. Always need more vegetables!!

Can’t wait to try this - thank you!
